Herb Camp 2026
Herb Camp
Nature Immersion Experience
July 17, 18 & 19 ~ 2026
9-4
“Connecting People to Plants”
Herb Camp is our perennial favorite. You will be introduced to many plants and their medicinal benefits as we identify them in nature. We will explore wild, native and invasive plants of gardens, woodlands, fields, river banks and wet ditches in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Rappahannock County.
We will discuss the plants’ growing needs, habitat, and the sustainability of those used medicinally. On our walks we will identify, gather and harvest some useful medicinal and wild edible plants. More than a few stories will be repeated under the Pawpaw trees by the river. Our afternoons will include making an herbal preparation, such as a syrup, a tincture and a salve with our harvest. Handouts will include recipes and a list of over 200 plants. The Green Comfort Botanical Sanctuary is registered with United Plant Savers and offers native woodland medicinal study and appreciation. You will also have time to gather plants for transplanting in your own gardens. And did I say, “we will have so much fun”?!
Lunches provided Friday & Saturday hike days Sunday check-out at 2 PM Tuition includes Camping, Food and Handouts $450.
